PLAYBOY ASKS SUNRISE WHAT'S IN HER BAG - Vivid Girl Sunrise Adams clocks a lot of air travel, so Playboy magazine tapped her for its feature "What's In Your Bag" -- a periodic peek into the carry-on bags of celebrities. In addition to mad money and photos of her dogs, Sunrise's bag yielded a few high tech surprises. She had a 3.2 mega-pixel Pentax Optio S Digital Camera, a Motorola T-720 phone with full-color display and external caller ID, and a five-inch screen Panasonic Palm Theater portable DVD player. Says Sunrise: "I've never had a bad travel experience. But then again I'm only 20." A photo of sexy Sunrise ready for travel appears in the two-page "What's in Your Bag" spread with skateboard legend and video games maven Tony Hawk and Disturbed guitarist Dan Donegan. The August issue of Playboy is on sale now.
HOLLYWOOD PARTIES THROUGH THE NIGHT FOR PINK LASHES - A house full of adult industry and entertainment celebs was on hand Thursday night (June 26) to meet Vivid Girls Sunrise Adams and Kira Kener at a Hollywood fundraiser for the Pink Lashes Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness. Huge screens showed excerpts from Vivid features during the party, which was sponsored by the Vivid Virility System. Upstairs at the posh bistro The Highlands celebrity DJ Eric Balfour performed with his group Fredalba while downstairs the funkadelic band Animastik blasted trip-hop dance music. After the Hollywood party, Sunrise and Kira left immediately for Chicago to join Savanna Samson for the launch of Vivid's 15-city "Porn Star Ball Tour" (June 28th at Club Vision 640 North Dearborn, starting at 10 p.m.). The Vivid Girls will select three finalists for a come-as-your-favorite-porn-star competition with a $1,000 prize. To get Chicagoans in the mood for the party, Savanna appeared Friday on The Mancow's Morning Madness Show.
SUNRISE & STEVEN ON FOX NEWS CHANNEL -- Vivid Girl Sunrise Adams and Vivid's co-founder and co-chairman Steven Hirsch were interviewed on the popular Fox News Channel business show Your World With Neil Cavuto on Wednesday (June 26, 2003). Cavuto introduced Hirsch by saying, "if you think the King of Porn is Hugh Hefner, Larry Flynt or Bob Guccione, you might want to think again." As Vivid videos played on a split screen with Hirsch and Sunrise, Cavuto peppered the pair with questions about everything from the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling on library Internet filters to the life-span of porn stars. At one point Cavuto asked Hirsch if Vivid is planning to go public. He didn't rule it out, but said now is not the time.
MEET THE SEXY GORILLA -- Vivid is featured in the current issue of The San Fernando Valley Business Journal, which says, "Vivid Entertainment Group isn't just the proverbial 400-pound gorilla of the adult film business, it's a market leader that is pushing its way into merchandising, licensing and even into prime-time network programs." The story includes a lengthy Q&A with Steven Hirsch and reporter Carlos Martinez.
