VIVID STUDIO INSIDER FOR NOVEMBER 27, 2009

CARRIE PREJEAN AND VIVID STAY IN THE NEWS - Even though she says she doesn't want Vivid to release her sex tape, the story of Carrie Prejean's steamy homemade video stayed in the news last week.  TMZ carried an item with the headline: "Vivid Honcho -- No Doesn't Really Mean No."  The story by the TMZ staff said, "Even though she has said "no" more times than the Jonas Brothers, Vivid prez Steven Hirsch is still holding out hope Carrie Prejean agrees to sell over the rights to her infamous sex tape." Hirsch has offered Prejean some serious dough to sign on the dotted line and join the Vivid family. So far she's declined -- and even threatened to sue -- despite the expert advice she's received from Shauna Sand."  (According to TMZ: "Like a lucite messiah, Sand has fired off a letter to Prejean in an attempt to convince the ?biblically correct' beauty queen to stop fighting the release of her sex tape -- and take the million dollar offer from the Vivid Entertainment porno company.  In the letter, obtained by TMZ, Shauna draws from her own personal experiences, explaining how she decided not to waste ?thousands of dollars' trying to fight the release of her ?leaked' sex tape -- but instead worked out a deal with Vivid so she could maximize the profit provided by her privates.)

Since Carrie is a San Diego resident, local Channel Six took an interest in the story of her sex tape with a detailed story headlined: "Reserve Your Carrie Prejean Sex Tape?"   Reporter Elex Michaelson asked: "Could Carrie Prejean's solo sex tape soon be for sale at a store near you? Kearny Mesa's Adult Emporium has an ad on its marquee requesting pre-orders. But will the tape ever be released?"   Michaelson reprints quotes from Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch, writing: "Vivid's co-founder Steven Hirsch has said "the footage we saw is a series of very graphic and hot clips." Vivid offered Prejean $1 million for Prejean's consent to release the video. So far, Prejean has been adamant that she will never agree to distribution. Without Prejean signing on, legal experts say there is little Vivid can do."   He also quotes adult film industry attorney Michael Fattarosi, remarking on Steven, "he's a smart enough businessman.  He wouldn't allow that tape to be released under his company's name without the proper documentation."  He also quotes sex tape broker Kevin Blatt as saying, "if anyone in the adult industry could get to her to sign off, it would be [Vivid's Hirsch] or maybe Hugh Heffner."
